    IFTTT + TVFoodMaps = A foodie geek’s dream!

    June 26th, 2012

If you are not aware of what IFTTT is it stands for If This Then That. It essentially lets you connect many services and APIs on the web in a way that is easy to use and doesn’t require you to be a programmer. IFTTT has a concept of a recipe that basically describes a trigger and an action. A trigger could be something like reading a weather forecast and an action could be sending an email, like this recipe. Right now IFTTT’s triggers and actions are only available for specific services and APIs – if they open it up further TVFoodMaps will be sure to add it’s content (hint hint to the folks at IFTTT). However, using our RSS feeds you can be creative and build some interesting recipes. For example, here we shared a recipe that will send an email for each new place on TVFoodMaps.com. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what you can do with IFTTT, maybe you want to add places to del.icio.us or get a text message, etc.

Be creative.  Dont forget we have RSS feeds for each show as well as a single feed for all new entries.  If you have ideas for other feeds that can be useful let us know.
