Where to Sit
Ask for a seat at the counter, it's one of the best places in town for those eating alone. Or copy Raymond Chandler, he's rumored to have penned the better part of "The Big Sleep" from one of the high-backed red booths.
Parking
If the pay lot behind the restaurant is full, note the free parking hiding in plain sight in the public structure around the corner north on Cherokee.
The Extras
Watch the bartenders for a forgotten lesson in mixing. Contrary to Mr. Bond, the classic martini must be stirred, and not shaken. Shaking is only appropriate for cocktails that have heavy juices or cream in them.
FourSquare Tips
They print their menu daily but their items have been around for decades. The perfect dinner: martini served with the side carafe + liver and onions. Period. Nuff said. -Alex Reznik, Top Chef

Musso's, if you look at it a certain way, is a living museum of 1920s American cuisine: avocado cocktails, crab Louie, jellied consommé, grilled lamb kidneys and Wednesday sauerbraten.
Best of LA 2012 - Best Martini. Like silent films, old-school in the martini realm does not mean boring. A martini here is best when "taken" as part of the entire steak & jellied consommé experience.
Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. They turn out a martini that Bogart would've judged worthy of the name. That counts for a lot. (And try the sand dabs, too.)
Founded in 1919, this has always been a popular hang out for celebrity actors, as well as screenwriters. The establishment was also briefly pictured in the 2001 movie Oceans Eleven.
Manny Aguirre is a legend.. Thanks for great dry martini!
Everyone from Charlie Chaplin to Ginger Rogers once graced the generous leather booths, and writers like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Raymond Chandler talked shop here in their screenwriting years.
