I've lived in Mandeville for 25 years, so maybe I just am spoiled by all the great restaurants we have here, in New Orleans, and all of south Louisiana, but this place is average at best, and the last several times I've been have been sub-par. Cash only is also an inconvenience.

If there were stars to attribute this one would be off the chart!..Definately worth the stop!! One of the best places we ate on vacation. We had already looked up where it was on TV Food Maps but the Triple D show came on while we were in a hotel in Gulfport. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. My husband had the Grits and Grillades from the show and is a total Yankee convert to grits (hated them before out trip). I had something called Eggplant Algiers (?) they didn't receive their shipment of eggplant that day so they subst. fried green tomatos for the eggplant...I can't believe it could be any better than it was with the subst...my only regret is neither of us had room to even contemplate dessert.

Waited over forty minutes for poboys. Told the waitress we were leaving, all she said was ok, no apology or anything. We won't be back.
Eggplant Algiers is wonderful. More food than you can eat. Besides eggplant you also get a crab cake and pasta!
The Eggplant appetizer is amazing.
Omg roastbeef poboy. Mmmmmm!!!!
Grits and grillades are soooooo delish!
Eggplant Algiers was amazing.
Thirtyfive minutes after placing my order and folks that came in 10 minutes after I did we already served and eating, they told me it would be a little longer.. Sorry, noone's food is that goo!
Credit cards accepted!
Try the catfish po-boy. It has a hearty helping of fish, and it is fantastic. You won't leave hungry!
Must ask for the spinach bread ( not on menu) but ah-may-zing!!
