The best thing I ever ate is the BBQ shrimp at Emerils. Everthing else was great and super fresh. Veggies must have been picked that day.

The Extras
The seven-course degustation menu ($75 per person, table participation required) for which house chefs whip up appetizer-sized dishes using the fresh market ingredients and their improvisational instincts.
Know Before You Go
Emeril fans pack the room every night, so reserve far in advance. Order appetizers; entrees are made from scratch and can take up to 30 minutes to prepare.
FourSquare Tips

Make sure you try the Banana Cream Pie-AMAZING!
There are a few tables by the bar where you don't need a reservation. Service was fantastic, and the andouille crusted drum fish was light and delicious.
Try the Andouille-crusted redfish. It's a long-running favorite!
Try the Pastrami-style smoked salmon served on a sea salt bagle at lunch.
Try the sausage, it's great! The gumbo rocks! It has a home recipe feel that reminded me of my grandmother. And, the drum divine! Banana creme pie, oh yeah! Really great food and great sevice!
