CitySearch Tips
Where to Sit
If you're in the Square and flying solo, grab a seat at the long, communal table in the center of the restaurant.
When to Go
Avoid the restaurant during lunch hours, when every seat is taken and there's usually a wait to get in.
Know Before You Go
Looking to have a beer with your burger? Head elsewhere--no alcohol is served here.
FourSquare Tips
An American landmark since 1960 & voted best burgers in America! Try "The American Idol" burger w/ bacon, cheese, mushrooms and onions.
Mr. Bartley's in Harvard Square, established in 1960, offers a thick, juicy 7-ounce rounded burger. Bill Bartley prefers a round patty to a flat patty and says that beef chuck makes the best grind.
Try The Ocho Cinco, a cajun burger topped w/ bacon/pineapple jalepeno relish, and pounded from ground prime, unlike its namesake, who's probably just past his.
;-) Great got my.Harvard Badge.
Cash Only!
awesome burgers! cash only though
Voted "Best Burgers" by @BostonPhoenix readers in 2012. Bring cash and don't forget the onion rings.
Mr. Bartley's is good. That's it.
Try the Kevin Garnett: delicious, but messy (the way a burger should be!). And the onion rings are fantastic! Worth the wait.
