What to Drink
If the $6 glass of Muscadet doesn't whet your whistle, skip the rest of the overpriced wine list and head straight to the beer--a $6 pint of Harpoon IPA goes better with lobster anyway.
Where to Sit
If you can get there early enough, there are a handful of tables in a small back area, which provides a little more elbow room than the bar.
Look Good
Though it's not advertised, the restaurant will sometimes take reservations for parties larger than six.
Lunch Spot
The lunch menu replaces the whole lobster dishes with items like clam and oyster rolls.
Know Before You Go
Prices vary, especially for lobster, based on market availability.
FourSquare Tips
Though this busy restaurant doesn't take reservations, Ed's cleans and shucks everything right in front of the customers, and offers a $1.50 oyster happy hour.
Serving lobster steamed, grilled, broiled, in burgers, pasta, pies and rolls, Ed?s is the place to come for lobster in New York. We tried the lobster roll paired with a fresh white wine ? delicious!
Don't even bother with the small Lobster Roll, go for Ed's sized, and make sure you have his world famous pickles. They're a perfect compliment.
the lobster burger with the spicy mayo on the bottom is just right (especially when you're really hungry)
Get the lobster meatballs if they're offering them (wed and sat usually) but make sure you have someone to share them with. Also try the oyster sampler.
Try the Lobster Roll (Sandwich) and spot it on Foodspotting!
After a long day of shopping in SoHo or a long day at work, be sure to stop by Ed's Lobster Bar for NYC?s best lobster roll and a spicy 901 chili-flake margarita or sweet 901 blueberry margarita.
When you're looking to splurge on a lobster roll this is the place to go.
Definitely one of the best Lobster Rolls in the city (if not the best)!
The Lobster Roll is the best thing on the menu. Ignore the rest.
