The Extras
The restaurant serves whiskey in little metal flasks, to be passed around and refilled from a full bottle. Unlike most bottle service, though, Gus & Gabriel will store for you if you can't finish it all.
Fun Fact
This is Psilakis' third restaurant in this space, which he uses as a kind of workshop. In its previous incarnations the same location housed both Onera and the original Kefi.
Know Before You Go
Gus & Gabriel does not accept reservations. Late afternoon and after 10pm are the best times to stop in if you want to avoid the crowds.
Delivery
The restaurant delivers between West 69th Street and West 89th Street, from Central Park to the Hudson River.
FourSquare Tips
Recommended: Nachos, loaded potato skins, potato chips, Mexi mac and cheese, Chicago hot dogs, Creamsicle float spiked with tequila, Rocky Road shake spiked with bourbon.
Get the all the beer snacks, the burger with fried egg, and wash it all down with a glass of brown booze or a 40 in a brown bag. Great prices, staff, well-thought out food!
New spot on the UWS. upscale bar food prepared well by good people. burgers and chicken are killer but don't miss out on the bone marrow or shortbreads either.
the mac n cheese is srsly amazing.
the hot potato chips are yummy!
This place closed a year ago.
I agree that the bar food and fried egg burger at G&G are amazing! However, the hot dogs were the worst I'd had in the city. Soggy, limp and tasteless. First time in years I've sent a meal back.
Go to Gus & Gabriel and order the gruyere and mushroom burger - best burger in the city.
The Nachos are incredible and they have great cocktails
There is a god- they deliver
