Back before the overpriced condos and trendmongers of the Meatpacking, Red Cat was making delicious, creative New American cuisine for the art gallery set and other locals. Still as good as ever.

So, I thought the bacon tempura would be gross but delicious. I almost asked not to have it. But then I did. And in the end...it was gross and delicious. Very, very delicious.

Of the appetizers my favorites were the buratta, fried green beans, and scallop risotto.
Fried oyster sammy is the bomb
In such a wonderful restaurant, I wouldn't recommend the french fries unless they really deserved it. And they are.
