Garbage plates are nasty. It is for locals only. I lived there 5 years and never understood it. They do a great fish sandwich though.

Cheeseburger plate, Mac salad and homefries, hot sauce, extra onions. Smother that baby in ketchup, mustard, and red hot and give it a little stir.
Breakfast sandwiches are a great morning snack! And if your not in the mood for a plate, try a grilled cheese sandwich. Excellent!
Cheeseburg Plate Mac Homefry Heavy Sauce only. Top it off with Ketchup and Franks Redhot and you're good to go
Cheeseburger garbage plate was AMAZING!!! Got there at 10am for early lunch, not busy at that time.

I've had better plates from different spots in the city, but this is the original and it cannot be denied. The bread was kinda stale.
Their fish Garbage Plate is still good...
