Where to Sit
Sit at the counter overlooking the kitchen and watch the chef his associates prepare every hand-crafted morsel of food.
FourSquare Tips
Order from the Japanese small plates menu.
Some say Kihachi is the best restaurant in Columbus. This is the place to put yourself in the able hands of Chef Kimura and splurge on omakase (Japanese for "I'll leave it to you.")
Spider Roll
If the tempura lotus root with shiso and shrimp pate is on the small plate menu it's a must have. The fried burdock root and freshwater shrimp are great snacks to start with.
For a special occasion book the omakase (chef's choice menu) in advance. It's around $90-100 but it's amazing
Really the only Japanese Restaurant in the city!! Delicious, worth the price. Wish they were open for lunch.
Just go with the appetizer, especially the daily special (written in japanese). The pork cheek is awesome.
The shiitake & shrimp tempura is deep-fried perfection.
The absolute best Japanese food in Columbus, but they don't serve Americanized Japanese dishes only authentic Japanese food. Pricey but well worth it.
