The big nasty is where it's at. A great chicken biscuit that I covered with a one of a kind gravy. Still need to go back to try the other food.

I was not impressed at all. In fact I was down right disappointed. We waited forever for a seat at breakfast. Service was slow. I ordered french toast and it was just a pile of mush. The "syrup" was sour. It was not good at all and expensive. My husband had the grist which were overly salty. Was very sad to find this as we were very excited to try this place after seeing it on tv.

I had the shrimp and grits, while my wife and daughter had the fried chicken. We were not impressed. For the money, it wasn't worth it. There certainly are better eats around Charleston better than the Hominy Grill.

Try the Big Nasty Biscuit - delicious! As seen on Man v Food: Charleston.
Excellent fried green tomatoes. And free parking!
The Lee brothers took Andrew to a restaurant known for serving a traditional southern comfort food --boiled green peanuts. As seen on Bizarre Foods America.
You have to try the chocolate pudding. Best I've ever tasted!

The Big Nasty Biscuit and Gravy is awesome. Try the fried green tomatoes. The sweet tea is one of the best I've had. This place has been featured on all the big Food and Travel shows.
Go with the Big Nasty. You won't be sorry.
The Fried Green Tomato BLT is fantastic!
saw this place on man vs food. went there when i was in charleston and the scrimp and grits did not disappoint
Hominy Grill is about as southern as southern can get. It?s a must stop for tourists and locals alike, which is a rare achievement for a restaurant. [Eater 18 Member]
