One of our Top 10 Best New Restaurants in America. Chef James Holmes gathers his culinary inspiration from (and in) his backyard vegetable garden. The lamb fries are a must-have.
Another one of Austin's greats...I've yet to have a bad meal, but the standouts so far have been the diver scallops and the fried chicken. Also a great brunch option if/when you can get in.
Chef James Holmes made sure his menu included a treatise about buying from local farms, foragers and ranchers, and it shows with his fresh and changing takes on Texas-style cuisine. Get the S.O.S.
Worth it for brunch.
The quail dish is always reliably excellent. Most folks who are disappointed are unadventurous eaters who prefer fried food to fresh local.
Get the lamb fries! They will melt in your mouth. So good.
Love this place for brunch. They have the best hot sauce selection.
The Macdaddy with poached eggs (instead of scrambled) is delicious! Even our server said he wanted to try it!
My favorite brunch in town. The fried chicken is a staple and my husband orders the pig's ear sandwich every time we're here. Delicious frites too!
