Very good, but be ready for a $20 per person lunch. Nice atmosphere, all at my table enjoyed their meals. I had rueben and it was very good.

A guide to Yiddish phrases is listed on the back of the menu, for an even more authentic experience.
When to Go
Breakfast is served all day, but come by for Sunday brunch, and you'll see all of Houston's machers (Yiddish for "important people").
FourSquare Tips
Reubens the size of your head. Amazing pickles. Lots of comforting Jewish favorites like matzo ball soup and corned beef and cabbage. [Eater 38 Member]
The pastrami bacon kicks ass! Try it for breakfast.
Ggggggreatest lox bagel ever!!!
Come here to eat good sandwiches.
Better than Katz's near Montrose. Larger portion (can usually share the meal), tastier, and cost just a little more. Also, way easier to park your car than Katz's.

Pastrami sandwich on Rye bread.
The matzo ball soup is ideal on a rainy, cold winter day. Also ideal when you're sick . . . or when you're simply craving good soup.
