The food was good, but no better than other Greek/Mediterranean restaurants I've tried in the Houston area. It's priced a bit high, like many of the other Greek places around, and it was way too crowded.

This was my first ddd restaurant to visit and I was so excited. Background on me: my hometown was recently voted top 5 cities for restaurants. The food at Niko Niko's wasnt bad but it was a bit of a letdown after all the build up I had heard. It was no better than any of our greek restaurants at home.

Parking
Parking is tight in front. You'll find more parking directly across Montrose Boulevard.
Know Before You Go
To-go orders are popular here. If you don't take it home, you'll be stuck with Styrofoam plates and plastic forks. Don't forget to take the addictive honey-drizzled baklava home with you, too.
FourSquare Tips
It's the BEST Greek Restaurant in Houston. My all time favorite. Better than Yia Yia Mary's and Bebo's.
The plates are huge and the side dishes are also very generous. The souvlaki and kebabs are some of the popular dishes. The fries are a must, and the lentil soup is quite good, too.
Best falafel
Greek food is on the menu at Niko's. Gyro's, falafel, souvlaki and more. Small salads start at $4.75. Try the Athenian mushroom burger for a mix of American and Greek flavor.
Really impressed with the fries - great texture and flavor! Great people-watching scene, too.
Great food, large portions and fairly high prices for an order-at-the-counter place. But it's worth it.
Good Greek food. The gyros were awesome.
the spinach chicken pita is the way to go.
