I went to Kelly's for breakfast several weeks ago, as I recall it was a good place but nothing to crazy on the menu. Way too many awesome places in the cambridge boston area to make a special trip to kelly's but certainly a good place to eat. FoodDude!

I was lucky enough to save the best for last in my Knoxville TV food tour. First you walk up to a campground like atmosphere and I was already digging this place. The pit was smoking outside on a rainy day and the place is on a marina location near a river. I want to get a houseboat just for this cosy spot. Now onto the food, they have a terrific menu smoked slightly seasond meats leaving the sauce to do the talking. Thick, Thin, and Hot, set on the table for you to decide. I had the pulled pork with 2 sides, the mac n chees which was really good chewy mac and gooey cheese tastey and terrific. I tried all 3 sauces on the pork then used all 3 at once you cant go wrong. My second side was the banana pudding and it was hillbilly heroin! so good I almost ate the plastic utensiles too. A notable mention is the dining room and total inside area was really cosy and comfy. This is the must visit Knoxville TV food find but it is out in the sticks, kind of the way I like it anyway. If you dont go here in while visiting the eastern Tennessee you are missing the best dining experience (BBQ) around. FoodDude is the source trust me I've been there.

I've been to several unusual drive in's and they are not all good. In this case the they make fantastic pizza for non New York or Chicago its fantastic. I didn't try the onion rings but the name of the place is Pizza Palace not onion ring palace. Anyway, I went in and found they could care less about the Triple D association, they just keep doing what they do. I've seen too many places (that kind of suck) that have been on DDD post it all over the place, have a constant video loop of their episode and sell Guy's books and have it plastered on their menus and tee shirts. These people have one little post card on the wall. They say "hey we make italian food pizza and onion rings the same way and you will like it. Go here have a pie and see for yourself. FoodDude had been there trust in the truth!
Review of Dixson Bar-B-Q by Seb the

I've been to so many TV food joints that it takes alot to blow me away. MvF places normally dont impress me but Dixon's is a rare exception. I went for a food tour of Knoxville and stopped at Dixon's around 2PM to a packed house. Thats not hard since there's only 2 tables but it was standing room only waiting for some superfantastic barbeque. You walk into this hole in the wall phone booth sized place and you are mesmerized by the smoke aroma you would eat the grill itself. I had a pigburger and asked for a small one, I struggled to finish it. the sauce is the key here but I also sampled the ribs and the smokey meat was not hindered by the tangy awesome sauce. 2 more stops on the Knoxville tour so I only had a taste, and it's all great. You have to go here the food was fantastic, the one man show was a class act worker but it was too busy for one guy and I got shuffed out of the rotation seeing people who walked in behind me getting service first. Overall a must visit food site but stand your ground and find somplace eles to sit and eat since chances are you wont get a table. FOODDUDE!!!

A resounding HELL YEAH!!! This was the best fried chicken joint ever! Every dish from this kitchen was stellar even the biscuits they bring to your table are freakin incredible. Great staff! Classic rock tunes and get this... There's a bar too! Wonderful place, terrific TV Food Find! FoodDude eats then speaks the truth.

I visited Chucks last night and had an all around excellent experience. From the staff, the decore, the vibe, and the dining room, this place hits on all cylinders. A terrific menu of well excecuted fare, no really crazy items but the Jalepeno Cheddar corn bread I had was fantastic. The have rotating daily specials I was a bit let down to find the cajun meatloaf wasn't available on a Monday. In true FoodDude pattern I got the sampler with Rib Tips Pulled pork and smoked chicken. All were very nicely prepared and the portions were giagantic. This place has a great variety of all house prepared items with a bit of a mexican flare and a bit of a world class BBQ joint I am a happy boy for going here... go too and see for yourself. FoodDude, truly visited, truly reviewed!!!

I can't give this place a thumbs down but my meal was total crap. The place is cute and it has a really nice staff. But I orders the chicken parm sandwich special which was sliced chicken breast no Italian breeding a flavorless sauce doused with low grade cheese served in a shitty burger bun with ruffles potato chips. I moved the huge mound of cheese ate some chicken paid my bill and went to McDonald's down the street. I bet they can screw up breakfast this bad but I will not give them a second chance. This place is an absolute gem. The staff entire staff is really cool the decor is old school and the menu is funky. I had the sweet risotto corn fritters that were dynamite! Next was the quirky Cajun burger that was super good! Caramelized onions and Cajun spiced mixed in the meat and cooked to juicy perfection. TOP 5 burger so far! Try the poundies which are white and sweet smashed taters with other ingredients then griddled to a crisp. Try the blue cheese sour cream and the house catchup! Also the sweet carrot reduction was tasty. I drove 2 hours out of my way and it was well worth the trip! %0AThey also make a variety of juices, smoothies, and milk shakes. This place is a must visit! FoodDude, been there, ate that!

I braved the perils of Newark NJ to sample Hambergao and I must say it was worth it! The tasty burger served on a fresh baked (in house) bun and a funky meat filled appetizer in puffed pastry. Really great place part corner joint part bakery a real gem and a taste of Newark ethnicity. There is street parking only buy no meters only a couple tables and they don't speak much English but the menu is simple. Just go I'm the day time there aren't many safe places in Newark especially at night.

I have lots of customers in Boston and Cambridge so I will eat there and give a solid review. This classic ice cream and burger stand is a must try due to the crazy crunchy cheese deal. That said the ice cream is the real star of this joint. Get a shake though because the portions and Sunday's are expensive and small. Don't expect an extensive menu and the actual burger isn't special. The fries were frozen crinkle cuts and the onion rings were just okay. The slaw was also okay but a normal diner serving is almost 3 bucks which is too much for an item usually given to you for free. Overall visit for the novelty not for a good meal! FoodDude! Really hits these joints not like some other dickheads on this website!

On the main strip in busy Delray this place is trendy and expensive. Great wait staff is balanced with excellent food. The portions are small and really pricey with all appetizer around $15. Good luck finding a parking spot but right across the train tracks there was a $5 dollar lot. There are lots of terrific places within 100 yards but only 1 TV food find!%0AFoodDude, he's got the bucks to eat where you wish you could!

My Long Beach Island tour was completed with wings and a Kobe Beef burger at the chicken or the egg. I had company on my food quest today and sampled the French dip a chicken cheese steak white chowder and the most fabulous onion rings. This is a great place but get ready for some slightly higher prices. That's what you get in resort towns. No worries. I'm the food dude. I got this one!

I'm really digging this place, it's a classic diner very art deco hip and retro. Having the Pierre Dip with Fries. The au jus is special here! I can drink it by the gallon. Great sandwich super bread. I asked for crispy fries and that's exactly what I got. This place is a winner!

Notable mention are the chicken cordon blue bites but served with honey mustard not the best choice. I had a meatball sandwich which was sliced Italian bread and drenched in tomato sauce. The sauce is great the meatballs were nearly flavorless. Overall not a bad joint but far from a memorable meal.

Hit or miss from dish to dish. I had the liver appetizer with bacon and onions in a white wine reduction, pretty good but doused in sauce which took all the fried crispness away. The Mac n cheese was well baked and crunchy on top it was a wet sauce and no detectable cheese, strike 2. The chicken was very good but I can make it better myself. How did Bobby Flay lose this throwdown? Notable mention to the cranberry cole slaw, I'm gonna steal that idea. They get a thumbs up buy only a 5 out of 10. Cool place, a bit pricey and just missed the mark : ( FoodDude... Tells it like it is!

I gave the Penguin a thumbs up and really cant say it's a bad place but its a normal choke and puke greasy spoon. Right across the street is Dish. this is a clever friendly clean and terrific place. Penguin cant hold a candle to Dish. With that said if you just want a hot dog or hamburger you could do worse than Penguin. FOOD DuDe has spoken!

I hit the "King" on my way to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It's really close... thats the best point of this place. I had the minced pork sandwich and it was flavorless and lack luster. I wish they put more than enough sauce on it to barley wet the top of the bun. I could hardly detect the slaw and the onlything that saved the sandwich was the single pickel slice that comes on top jammed onto the toothpick. Ive had better sandwiches from a vending machine! The onion rings were very good, crispy and tasty and boy they load the cardboard boat up with em. I didn't sample more of the menu and cant completly throw this place under the bus but I was hoping the signature dish would have been better. Will I return there? Probably not, there are way too many BBQ joints in Charlotte to give this place another try. FoodDude, taking culinary bullets for the masses.

Having only a few days in Charlotte I saved Dish for last and did it ROCK!!! Early dinner left plenty of time to chat with lots of the wonderful and freindly staff. Its comfortable surroundings and manicured comfort food menu are a total treat, like going to visit mom's house but with much better cooking! (sorry mom) I had the Parmesean Potato Poppers and they were Magical, the horseradish dill is perfect with this but they are just fine on their own. Then one of the best meatloafs (spicey cajun) and mac n cheese you can get in the entire USA. I was too stuffed for dessert but The chocolate pecan pie does sound amazing!!! Go here when in Charlotte. Dont miss this one or your tastebuds will kick your ass. FoodDude!!!

I'm from NJ and I know a good Diner when I see one. The food people of Charlotte are blessed to have this joint. Had dinner with a small group and sampled several items, without a doubt this place is ON POINT!!! If you are a north east transplant this is a taste of home. If you dont have that true diner experience this is it. We had the veal parm, pastachio, and an old school bacon cheeseburger with fries plus the Mozzerella sticks and spanikopita. My cuz bought some pastries to take home and it's all fresh made in house. A terrific food find! Get here! FoodDude!

I checked the like button but must say the pulled pork was boring. There was only enough sauce to wet the bun no flavor on the slaw and the pickel slice was the tastiest thing on the sandwich. The onion rings were good but it ain't rocket science. If You are the Bar-b-Q king your meat should outshine your veggies. Go if you want the experience but pass on this one if you want good food.

Worth the trip from anywhere in the Charlotte area. The staff of friendly older ladies and cute girls are excellent. Try the Deviled eggs and pimento to cheese on celery. I also had a combo shrimp and oyster Po Boy it was outstanding.

First thing the staff is super nice. Kate was really sweet and friendly. From the corn and tomato salsa and chips to my Mahi BBQ and blackened Whahoo tacos encompassed by a hip and comfy environment this place hit on every point of being a tip knotch food find.

Busy place, busy night one waitress you do the math. Speaking of math my $13 dollar charge turned into a $55 dollar bill. It was corrected but attributed to to many customers not enough staff. The food was slightly above avenge but they still get a thumbs up.

I walked into a dark old dive sat in the back and was greeted by a wonderful waitress. Orders the truffled cheese steak empanadas. With this awesome chocolate bourbon sauce. They were outstanding. Then the good dog burger stuffed with Roquefort. Cheese and topped with caramelized onions on a brioche bun served with a blend of regular and sweet potato fries and a chipotle aioli. Go here if you are in Philly but walk there cause you won't find a parking spot. The lot right next door cost $17 bucks for the hour I was there. Every Good Dog has its day. But no dog on the menu.... That's weird. FoodDude!

Im here right now eating on the side patio the conversation noise is deafening this is not a bad thing its a hoppin' busy place. The service is top shelf the menu is uncomplicated. Think super upscale mexican. Affordable food with a top price at $20. Theres sea food on the menu but only one steak dish. Everything I had was incredible. It is the must visit joint in bolder but parking is tough and the meter only gives you 30 minuets max. FoodDude, eating there for others!

Just had the Saddlebags at The Buff and wow the pancake was terrific. Fluffy tasty and the outside was a little crunchy not an easy task to achieve. The staff was friendly and professional. My waitress had coffee radar and would show up to top you off with psychic timing. Just outside of the busy area there is plenty of free parking plus its in a motel lot and the buff has a bar so get smashed at night get a toom then stumble over in the morning for some breakfast. More on the food, Its an assembly line place like a 'subway or Chipotle. I was dissappointed that they were out of Bison Ribs but it didnt stop me from having the Chicken Taco from the "Guy's Menu" it was really tasty and different from tex mex. More than enough to eat the taco comes on a fried flat bread that was light tasty and perfect but you have to knife and fork it unless you are a fast eater. The music was a bit too loud and I had to say what a few times as the server built my taco. With that said I had here pile all sorts of unique and flavorful toppings and sat outside (away from the blasting tune-age) I hope this could turn into a national chain because I would break my chain restaurant ban to eat at this place again. FoodDude!!!

The buzz is slow service plagues this place, I say whats your hurry. I really enjoyed the place. High end food great ambiance friendly staff they have it all. The menu was classy with good selections but no big risks. The Mole Chicken was fabulous and baked beans were the best I've ever had. I wasn't blown away by the Crepe cake but it was worth a try. Good place i recommend it! Food is a 4 letter word! FoodDude!

This place was very good. It was small inside and the bar has only 6 or 7 stools and it was packed with friendly people. The menu is one page but filled with creative stuffed burgers. The most interesting appetizer was the spam bites a ball of cream cheese with spam and pickles rolled in Panko and fried. I had a Frenchie swiss stuffed burger with au jus like a french dip it was Magnifique. Skip Matts and 5-8 and go here. I still rate the Nook higher but you should compare them yourself. FoodDude

The place is a total dive to the nth degree. The place is dirty the owner had a tee shirt on that looked like he was working on an old car and the clientel were kind of scary. With that said I LOVED it!!! This is what a dive is all about and everybody must experience it. A creative list of choices like the Chicago, Manhatten, Hairy Brain, or my favorite the Drive-in (slaw chili cheese) i tried the steaming pile picnic fries with mock duck onions beans peppers and cheese, delish! You choose your dog then pick the style. Burgers and other sandwiches are available. %0AWhen you go there dont be put off by the appearance just sit down and eat, but bring quarters for meter parking and make sure your shots are up to date. With a wonderful friendly staff a gracious and passionate owner chef and family value a restaurant must succeed. Marla's has everything in its favor especially its flavor. I order a Double which was a tasty gooey dough with curried chick peas inside. It was delicious. Paleu a tasty rice dish with mild seasoning peas and chicken fantastic and what a huge portion! The Brown Down Stew with Oxtail was so tasty and delectabl i ate till i could barely walk. I have to rate the food at the top of my 100+ tv places to date. Overall from the hospitality to the atmosphere to the fantastic taste and quality this is the food find of the year. Make sure you visit here and try to eat more than me! FoodDude!

From the moment you pull into the modest parking lot to the first interaction over the antique crackling speaker you wish there was a joint like this in your town. Not only can you get a burger, dog, or icecream cone you can order up spaghetti and meatballs and by the way its really good! It is hard to get over slurping pasta with the steering wheel in your face but you will get over it when you try the meatballs. I had a meatball sandwich on some great thick sliced italian bread and gooey delicious Mozzarella. If you are in the twin cities and you miss this place you missed a real gem. The catch is they ate only open in the nicer months. Thats when they trade meatballs for snow balls. FoodDude!

With a hip and inviting atmosphere and a sharp and eclectic menu this joint is a hit. The. He'd hits the mark for flavor and originality with unique meats and veggies. I found this place to be truly inspirational. It is a beautiful old church with stained glass and rep purposes pews. The brew kettles are on the alter and behind the bar. With high ceilings and original pipe organ the atmosphere is heavenly. I found the waitress barmaid was Devine, a true angel. The Cajun risotto fritters were terrific don miss that appetizer. Am I had a Kobe beef hot dog with chorizo chile jalape%C3%B1os and cheddar. The dog was served on a huge Portuguese roll with he made potato chips and a pickle. This place was off the chain it scored well on every aspect of dining. If you do go to the church you may have hell to pay! FoodDude : )

If you wind up in pittsburgh and you are really hungry and you have $20 bucks bring a friend to this place. I had the veal parm with spaghetti ate 1/4 of the serving and you couldn't tell I touched the plate. there was literally enough veal and pasta for 3 or 4 people and it was fantastic. Go here when you pass through Pittsburgh or you will miss a true gem

I just had breakfast at the Shelby and met the owner. The staff is friendly and the food was terrific. They have several Outrageous items on the menu, I was interested in the Mega Super Dog a 25" loaded monster but it was 7AM and too early for that kind of meal. I will go back again for lunch or dinner just to get a photo of me attempting to finish that Bad Boy... By the way they have a Bad Boy burger on the menu too, maybe I will get them both. On Biz trip near West Palm I was heading to Miami when I decided to hit Sonny's Famous sub shop instead of Tap Tap. Finding the place a tiny dive with few choices I saw Jaxsons was really close. I punched in the address on the old Garmin and headed for some Ice Cream. Making my U turn to park I say Grampa's Bakery so I ran in and grabbed a couple cookies, TV food find Number 3 for the day since I hit Shelby's in Deerfield Beach for breakfast. I waited nearly 40 minuets for a table at Jaxson's and ordered 2 scoups of wonderful home made ice cream. way too big to finish but absolutly delectable. TV food find number 4 for the day. If you are in the area try to hit all of these places if you pass on one make it Sonny's the cheese steak was slightly abouve average and nowhere near a real Philly (Philadelphia) cheese steak.

Truly the best Mac n cheese I have ever had. I also had one of the best cheeseburgers in my life. Cooked to perfection and covered with wonderful aged Gouda. Even the French fries were outstanding. You have to use the aioli that comes with them. People here what I say, if you come to New Haven CT. Visit this place but make a reservation because it's really really popular.

I was traveling back from Bethel CT to the Jersey shore and took a detour to hit Valencia's Luncheria and boy oh boy it was worth the trip. The tiny place with the huge taste and one of the all time best DDD places I have been to. The counter girl was really great, patient and knowledgeable about the menu and she has a true love for her workplace. She helped me decide from the wide variety of items. I had "The Works" Special sampleing the Ceviche, an Enpanada, and an Aripa. (I know I didnt spell them correctly) The dish had some fried plantains and the best rice and black beans you will ever have. The joint is MONEY!!! and the DDD fame has not effected their passion for producing great food. Cheap prices and a great atmosphere for a tiny take out place with only 10 tables. There were lots of specials, home made deserts, and crafted beverages, even a sort of fruit smoothy milk shake. I loved it and will drop in again next week on my way back from another New England work site. Keep this in mind, they posted a sign saying they were moving to a new larger location still on Main street in Hartford not very far from 95 so look them up on the net, program them into your GPS and go there. GO THERE!!! GO THERE!!! I really loved the food and I bought a quart of the Guacaca sauce shown in the DDD episode its an avacado/lime/cilantro pesto sauce that is magnificent on anything. Places this great are few and far between, so take my advise and check this place out!!! FoodDude!

The concesus is the service sucked the price is too high and the joint is a dump. All is correct but keep in mind its a dive bar not a first class eatery. The New England peronality is very standoffish to begin with. With that said, the place is not really Triple D worthy and to date it is the second from the bottom of my list making the Magnolia Inn in Austin TX the number one worst TV food joint. The duck was less than I expected but the burger was decent. The onion rings were very good and they had escargot which was pretty good for a dive bar on a barge under the freeway overpass. I will not go back but I can add it to my list. On to the next place. You wont be missing much if you decide not to visit this place. If you do go be prepared to wait for a table since they only have 10 and the bar is packed so good luck getting a seat there. The menu is lackluster so dont plan on having somthing special. The parking lot is crazy dont try the commuter lot just park by the tackel shop on the other side of the lot. My pesonal advise is stay on 95, and pass this place at 75 MPH! Fooddude!

This 46 year old New Jersey landmark is not to be confused with the White Mana (one N) in Jersey City. Both serve similar hand formed sliders with onion mashed into the meat and grilled like a White Castle burger but the Manna in Hackensack is the real deal! The fresh soft potato bun and a whole folded slice of American cheese are the first part of what makes their burger excellent, the choice of sliced white onion not chopped like the other previously mentioned places and a realy good quality ground beef make this tiny roadside attraction the best place to get a slider in NJ. If you get fries they will be the crinkel cut version but ours were lightly fried, next time I will request them a little darker. We also had a chocolate shake which was well made but just a bit small. No worries, just get more burgers!!!

Tiny and always packed I sat at the counter, since I travel for business I often eat alone, not an issue here, although busy the staff made me feel welcome and let me tell you the food was outstanding.

This place truly sucked! the waitress was so bad I thought she was new, I asked her how long she worked there, her reply... six years. None of the DDD dishes were still on the menue and they were out of anything else I wanted to try. I settled for a chicken stir fry dish and the chicken was rock hard tasteless and inedible. What a total let down, you should head there sign, "Sorry we're open" its a warning sign. It should read " I cant believe they are still open"

I have tried 58, Matts and the Nook. 58 was better than Matts, Dont waste your time going to Matts. My favorite was the Nook but the 58 club is worth a visit. Get the onion straw but bring friends if you want to make a dent in them. Good job 58, thanks!

I had a great experience here. The service was friendly and cool. I didnt make it inside because it was awesome in the tiki / picnic area. the food was outstanding and hard to believe it comes from that little truck. Okay it was a bit pricey but given the location (a busy city street full of cool places) I can understand upcharging for beer. If you have to ask you cant afford it! go there and enjoy.

Not just a burger joint everything from the neon sign collection to the awesome beer selection was awesome. this place is a must visit for the food alone, but the atmosphere is great too. Try the pate' appetizer with toast points and funky roasted veggies. I ate every little crumb! my burge with wine reduction and goat cheese was disturbingly delicious. Love this place so much I blew off visiting my friend Chef David Burke's place. I have the Fromahgerie in my neighborhood but Terry's is a third of the way across the country, I had to go and boy it was worth it. PS. please excuse any spelling errors. Live to eat!

I agree with DJ Slash! Hands down the best cheese steak in the country. I have been to many in the philly area alone and nobody beats Tony Lukes. Last visit I had the roast pork with broccoli rabe and I got dizzy from deliciousness. I will drive 2 hours in traffic both ways to have any Tony Lukes sandwich. The meat, the bread the cheese, and the parking lot! Pats and Genos blow from a food standpoint but try to find a spot and then worry if your car will be there when you get back. Dont waste your time with any other Philadelphia steak shops!!! GO TO TONY LUKES GO THERE NOW!!!
