Now they are at a bigger place it's a much better dining experience. The butter burger with blue cheese and a fried egg. Awesome. Did I mention I don't like breakfast but a burger for breakfast rocks.

great waffles and home fries. the place is small so there was a wait at 7am and you may feel like a fish in a tank; however the food is worth it.

Matt's is a Phoenix classic. Get breakfast or lunch (after 11am) from 6:30am to 2:30pm. They source the best ingredients possible. There may be a line when you get there, but it's worth the wait.
This place served, quite possibly, the best breakfast that I have ever had. I live with a breakfast connoisseur and he also gives high marks. If you can brave the wait, it's totally worth it.
Try the Reuben! Lightly grilled rye bread, layered with melt-in-your-mouth corned beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss, homemade Thousand Island dressing - it's one of Michele Laudig's 100 Favorite Dishes!
Best of Phoenix Winner 2011: Best Hangover Breakfast. The morning after can be rough, so roll in to order the hot and chick, a big stack of pancakes or the dame fine butter burger.
By far, the best breakfast you will have in Phoenix.
Since being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, you can expect a long wait to eat at Matt's - but it's totally worth it. Breakfast is served all day.
Get the waffle. It's amazingly delicious.
Everything here is good! You really can't go wrong. In case you are worried, it is totally worth the wait.
Absolutely DON'T go to Denny's! There's no substitute for fresh squeezed OJ, real maple syrup, and real cream butter.
Out of town guests? Take them on a weekday morning. You might have to wait but not as long as on weekends. And yes, it's worth it. Fresh everything and creative takes on old diner favorites.
