Every few months, I get to jonesing for a bbq shrimp poboy from Pascal's. In fact, my mouth is watering thinking about it right now. All that juice/sauce and shrimp down at the bottom of the stuffed bread is a treat of epic proportions. To top the meal off, you have to have the bread pudding. I consider myself something of a connnisseur and theirs is one of the best I have ever gotten on the outside of. There are people who have never tried or had bad bread pudding (made north of I10 and outside Louisiana) who were stunned and converted when they were persuaded to sample a bite (a very small one as I do not like to share). I cannot comment on anything else as I have never eaten anything else off the menu.

Use the paper bib for the signature shrimp: "Peel and eat" usually makes for a shirt-staining mess.
Where to Sit
Hit the cash-only bar early for a trip down memory lane -- pictures of luminaries like Jack Dempsey, Bear Bryant and Cindy Lauper line the barroom walls.
Parking
Pascal's provides a convenient parking lot accessible from its Dryades Street entrance.
