The Red Dog Saloon is one of the oldest and most famous bars in Juneau. The original bar was one of the first to serve the early miners and settlers and it is even believed that one of the city founders, Joe Juneau, convinced the town to change the name of the city from Harrisburg to Juneau with a round of “Duck Farts� at this bar. The saloon still keeps to its historic vibe and keeps a number of antiques on the wall.
