The food is not bad, although I have had better. However, they charge you the tip within the check, no matter the size of your party. The justification from the waitress was: Well, we add the tip, because in other countries they don't add it, so we have to do it!! WHAAAT??????!!!!!! We are in the US!!!!!!!!!!! So, don't waste your time going there, it doesn't worth it!

What To Drink
Haitian cuisine is surprisingly wine friendly. The list offers only a handful of options, the best one being the light-bodied 1999 Joseph Drouhin La Foret pinot noir ($26). Or stick with one of the many beers on tap or potent tropical cocktails.
When To Go
Weekend evenings, it's worth a visit to check out the exceptionally talented house band, which plays jazz-tinged Haitian folk music.
FourSquare Tips
The iconic Haitian restaurant on South Beach feeds you everything Haiti, making you open your eyes at the wonderful cuisine the country has to offer.
Try the spicy conch, delicious!
It appears the Haitian mixologists at Tap Tap have beaten the Cubans in serving a delicious mojito! Oh snap! It?s made the old fashioned way with no sucrose-laden mix. Yum!
Shrimp in coconut sauce is amazing! award winning mojitos. Whole fish fried or grilled and tap tap salad (+avocado) are also favorites. Tap Tap band performs live Thurs & Sat@ 9 pm. GM Gary rocks!
Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. This isn't strictly a bar. It's a very decent Haitian restaurant with a really first-rate bar. Get the rum punch.
The difference the mojito here and other places it that specialty Haitian rum they use, because it's dark and aged it layers the other traditional flavors, and it is so good!
Grouper with lime sauce delicious. Live music and politically charged. Love it!
absolutely amazing. mojitos and shrimp in coconut sauce- simply the best.
The Gryole was excellent. And so was everything else the others ordered.
Standouts are the malanga fritters in watercress dipping sauce, avocado salad with yet more watercress, pumpkin soup, fried pork chunks and whole fried fish in lime butter.
