Spicy and swwet BBQ is my favorite. I was afraid because we were in NC that all they would have was vinegar, but they had actual BBQ. Great place to get reservations and live a memorable night.

only best bbq beans. dry bbq and brisket. first time 3 months ago our favorite fried chicken.... this past weekend the worst. my husband tried the meatloaf.... mistake... gummy and thick with too much tomato sauce and ketchup...gummy. we are from nc and this does not represent our food! anyone can smoke food using hickory wood most nc residents do... the key is locking in moisture which the pit failed at miserably with the bbq pulled, brisket and fried chicken... dear god please tell me they do not bake it after frying... fried chicken people.... for the money, we will not go again as north Carolinians we can do much much better ourselves. we were just looking for good nc food on the go. you should try pecan or peach or apple wood d..... try using water, vinegar and juice to keep the smoked meat moist and do not bake fried chicken!!

My husband and I had 2 different dishes and both of the dishes were dry. Bring the old pit master back or take this restaurant off of food maps. It is not worth the trip.

What this place did to deserve bragging rights is beyond me. Food was bland, portions were small, way over priced. I've had better food at truck stops.

Don?t miss a whole-hog barbeque. As seen on Travel Channel?s Man v. Food Nation.
If you like great BBQ and great craft beer as well, you need to check out The Pit. Really good selection of local and other craft beers on tap.
Eat some of the best BBQ you can find.
Take a few friends, all order something different and share. There's nothing bad on the menu.
You don't need a tip because everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic.
Whatever you get for the main dish, get the fried okra side.
Bring a big appetite
Try the collard greens. Best I've ever had. Try them on New Years Day and get mo money!
This foodie favorite has even better beer choices! Check out the list!
AMAZING food but come early or make a Rez on Saturdays. 2 Hr wait but worth it. Try the smoke and coke.
