Go to Vinegar Hill House and be happy that you stayed in Brooklyn. They will be nice to you even if you are the only person in the place not wearing plaid. Also, there is a fireplace.
2-hour wait on a Friday night, but try and find a place at the bar - it's worth it. The beets in avocado and chicken were incredible.
