When we asked where to find Baked, the counter guys gave us directions and the suspicious tip ?walk fast?. But we didn?t run into any trouble, just amazing whoopie pies at Baked. In case you are not familiar with this tasty treat, a whoopie pie is two round chocolate cake discs with a thick layer a creamy frosting sandwiched between them. Think of a big cakey oreo. This place was pretty good! They have a few booths to sit in. Parking is pretty good on the street! I had the 'Sweet and Salty' brownie and my hubby had the pumpkin whoopie pie. Both were very good! We were disappointed because they didn't have their famous banana cream pie! If you go there and its a nice day, take a walk south, to the pier! Its a BEAUTIFUL place to sit and look across the water to the Statue of Liberty!

This is where I am a pastry chef. How could I leave this off the list? Get the whoopee pies. My favorite. -Eric Wolitzky, Top Chef Just Desserts
Go for the Whoopie Pie and the Salted Chocolate Cupcake or the Sweet & Salty Brownie!

Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito's Red Hook bakery serves updated retro-American desserts.
If I lived in Red Hook I'd be here every day. Whoopie Pies and the cupcakes with red hots on top are the best. Amazing iced coffee, too.
eat the salt and Carmel cupcake.
Best cupcakes in the universe. If you enjoy Crumbs, you hate cupcakes.
Don't skip the Brookster. It's possibly the best baked good mashup ever (chocolate chip cookie baked into a brownie).
Any cupcake, just get a damned cupcake!
