I really didn't like it. I grew up in chicago and eaten thousands of beef sandwiches. Most everyone in the city uses chopped hot peppers in their gairdinera. Al use tons of dried crushed red pepper only. I also thought the beef was stringing, dry and chewing. You may like it. I remember as a kid it was better. I ate at one of the now 50 franchise locations too. Maybe this is why it wasn't great. Worth going only to the original store only if you want want to try it.

Try one of the dipped beef sandwiches - they've been a Chicago staple for 70 years. As seen on Man v Food: Chicago.
Don't be tempted by any other items on the menu - stick with the legendary Italian Beef...you won't regret it! Brought to you by THE EXPENDABLES opening August 13!
